Fishing-PIPO is an application for the Thai fishing fleet to report vessel movements and the manning of crews on board, which requires permission and inspection to comply with Thai laws. The shipowner or charterer of fishing vessels can request or notify government officials of pre-arrival (PI, Port-In) and pre-departure (PO, Port-Out) of vessels including other information for permission or inspection through this application, and automatically obtain port clearance when permission is granted. Face scan technology is included in this application for user access and for government officials when inspecting crews onboard by scanning faces, to promote safety and security at sea.
